Regulation and scheme of examination of degree course in BUMS

Application form for admission along with the prospectus can be obtained from the Principal, Tipu Sultan Unani Medical College, Gulbarga either in person or by sending a self-addressed envelope (10”x5”) with postal stamps of Rs 30/- along with D.D. of Rs 300/-

As per the Department of Indian Medicine Govt. of India for Admissions to 1st BUMS NEET is compulsory as of now for the academic year 2020-21. CCIM directions of 2016-17 are to be followed this year also.

Application form should be submitted after furnishing all the particulars in complete manner to the Principal, Tipu Sultan Unani Medical College, Gulbarga, with the following certificates and four Photostat copies.

  • Proof of date of birth
  • Marks card of PUC II/ 10+2/ B. Sc. Or Equivalent
  • Urdu known certificate
  • Conduct certificate
  • Physical fitness certificate
  • Migration certificate for other than Karnataka State student

A. Qualification

Candidate seeking admission to Kamil-e-Tib-o-Jarahat (Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery) Degree Course:

Shall have passed two years Pre University examination conducted by Department of Pre University Education, Karnataka State with English as one of the subject and Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects. The candidate must have obtained a minimum of not less than 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in general and 40% for SC, ST, Cat-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B Category candidates of Karnataka.

Its equivalent recognised by RGUHS, Bangalore with 50%of marks in aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

B. Minimum Age

Candidates should attain the age of 17 (Seventeen) years as on 1st December of the year of admission to BUMS Course. Urdu as a subject passed in the 10th Class Examination or should have passed its equivalent through any recognized madarsa.

As per the CCIM 2016 regulations under RS5 The failed student of first professional shall be allowed to appear in second professional examination, but the student shall not be allowed to appear in third professional examination unless the student passes all the subjects of first professional examination and maximum four chances shall be given to pass first professional examination within a period of maximum three years.

The failed student of second professional who have passed all the subjects of first professional examination shall be allowed to appear in third professional examination, but the student shall not be allowed to appear in final professional examination unless the student passes all the subjects of second professional examination and maximum four chances shall be given to pass second professional examination within a period of maximum three years.

The failed student of third professional who have passed all the subjects of first and second professional examinations shall be allowed to appear in final professional examination and maximum four chances shall be given to pass third professional examination within a period of maximum three years.

The student failed in any of the four professional examinations in four chances shall not be allowed to continue his or her studies
